Gospenheale Barn Guestbook

Last but not least, wollen wir Bridget und David ein großes Lob aussprechen.

The Barn was very clean and had everything you could possibly need. Even though it was cold outside the Barn was warm with underfloor heating to warm up the traditional slate floor. Even my 14 yr old was impressed by the sensitive way the barn has kept its traditional features but is still modern. Having Bob waiting outside to play was great. The highlight for my 9 yr old twins was David's walk on new yrs eve to look for foxes in the dark! Thank-you so much for a lovely time - hope to see you again very soon!

Wonderful relaxing break. Very nice family accomodation with entertainment for young children. Lots for families to do within a short drive. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful week, 16h May 2010, the weather was very kind to us only 1 slightly wet day. This was our second stay at Gospenheale Barn and it was just as memorable as the first 2 years previously. The barn is of a very high standard and extremely well equipped. The touch this year of supplying freshly baked scones upon our arrival were welcome after such a long drive. David and family are so thoughtful and friendly that you feel like old friends not guests. You are in a very central location to be able to visit Devon or Cornwall. The tranquillity of the surrounding area is just wonderful helping you to relax and unwind, especially as this holiday was also honeymoon for our daughter who married the Saturday, and we arrived the Sunday.
We are booking again next year but for 2 weeks and alone to truly have a much needed break.

What a lovely place to spend a weeks holiday!! The barn has been beautifully converted and the accommodation is superb. Plenty of space and lots of thoughtful touches really make this place stand out. The home made cookies and fresh flowers when we arrived were much appreciated. We had fun with Bob the dog and enjoyed our chats with Bridget, David and their parents Mr & Mrs Pett next door. We had so many great places to visit on our doorstep that it was difficult to choose where to go each day. The barn is only a 5 minute drive from Launceston so its easy to stock up on food and petrol during your stay. We shall definitely put this barn high up on our list of places to stay when we return to the West Country in the future.

We spent a wonderful Christmas week at Gospenheale Barn, having returned for a Christmas holiday from Singapore to be with my Mum and our daughter. It was wonderfully cosy and warm, the character of the barn lent itself to our Christmas decorations and it was really homely. We were able to invite friends in for meals and drinks or go out for easy walks around the fields and even went to the nativity play at the local Methodist chapel on Christmas Eve, with true Cornish hospitality afterwards. Boxing day found us on the North coast at Boscastle in brilliant sunshine.
We thank you for your hospitality and friendship. The stay was especially poignant as it was Mum's last Christmas and therefore was full of very treasured memories.

We spent a memorable week over Easter at Gospenheale Barn. A warm welcome from the Petts and Bob, the dog. The Barn has been developed to provide modern and well-equipped accommodation and there was ample space for three adults, a teenager trying to revise and her active younger sister. We enjoyed our walks around the farm and along the local footpaths. With the North Cornwall beaches less than an hour away, Gospenheale is always on our shortlist for a West Country break.
